Burnout Assessment Tool
This self-check uses the core version of the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT-23) developed by Schaufeli, De Witte and Desart at KU Leuven (2019).
You'll answer 23 statements about your work on a scale from never to always. They cover four dimensions: exhaustion, mental distance, cognitive impairment and emotional impairment. Your result is interpreted with the international clinical cut-off scores published by Schaufeli, De Witte, Hakanen, Kaltiainen and Kok (2023).

This questionnaire is for self-reflection and educational purposes only. It is a screening instrument, not a diagnosis: it cannot establish burnout, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, chronic fatigue or any other medical condition. Only a qualified professional can do that.
